Bottle Shops — MXTOLOGY Trade
Put a $14 cocktail in your fridge for $7.
MXTOLOGY is a bar-quality cocktail in a 130ml resealable pouch — the drink your customers take to the barbecue, the footy, the caravan park and the pool, and can't buy anywhere else in the fridge. You bank $5.73 of gross profit every time one leaves it.
125 cocktails · 50 lanyards · full POS kit · counter boxes · one $30 freight, Australia-wide

Your customers can buy everything they need to make a Margarita. They just can't buy the Margarita.
Every bottle shop sells the same four categories. The fifth is already arriving: more than 350 bottle shops around Australia range pouched cocktails today. MXTOLOGY is the premium end of that shift — real named spirits, real citrus, mixed fresh in Australia — and the premium end is still wide open in most suburbs, at a price point nothing else in your fridge occupies.
A new category, not another RTD flavour. Now they can just buy the Margarita.
The pouch gets the first pickup.
Nothing else in the fridge looks like it — and that's the acquisition mechanism. The clear window shows the actual cocktail, so it stops the walk-past and merchandises itself with zero counter education.
- Clear window — they see the real drinkNot printed aluminium. The cocktail sells itself through the pouch before they've touched it.
- Resealable screw capOpens, closes, carries half-finished. The reason the format goes where cans and glass can't.
- Unbreakable and glass-freeLegal and welcome where glass isn't — the campground, the park, the pool and the caravan. That's where a big share of weekend drinking actually happens.
- Built for the roadThe caravan crew are lapping them up. Nothing to smash on a corrugated road, nothing to leak in the van, and they pack flat — the glass-free cocktail that actually travels.
- Hang-hole for the $2 lanyardClip one on at the till: $1 cost, $2 sale, and every pouch worn out of your shop is a walking ad for your fridge.
Real cocktail, real crema on the Espresso Martini, shaken in the very vessel they drink from — no glass, no ice, no equipment. A bottle can't do it, a can can't do it. Only the pouch activates, and it's ready to go straight out your door.

Open
Open the spout and let a big breath of fresh air in.

Close
Seal it back up — no spills, no waste.

Shake
Liven up the flavours for the perfect pour.

Sip
Perfect fresh cocktails, every single time.
The pouch gets the first pickup. The cocktail gets the second purchase.
Convenience gets the first sale. Taste gets the next twenty.
Novelty doesn't earn a 4.9★ average across 1,200+ verified reviews — the drink does. Here's what customers actually tell us:
- It tastes like the bar made it. Olmeca Altos tequila, Maker's Mark bourbon, The Canberra Distillery's award-winning gin, Disaronno amaretto, Pierre Ferrand — real spirits and real citrus, not flavouring dressed up as a cocktail.
- It's identical every time. The Margarita they loved in January is the Margarita they get in March.
- They serve it to their friends. The real trust test — and why the 5-packs move.
- Eleven flavours to work through. The range is its own repeat-purchase engine.
The window stops them. The convenience closes them. The taste brings them back.
One fridge shelf. $573 of gross profit.
A single fridge shelf holds roughly 100 pouches — about $1,400 at retail and $573 of gross profit as it sells through. No prep, no pouring, no breakage, and wholesale grew 256% last financial year because stores that range it re-order.
| Format | You buy ex GST |
You sell RRP inc GST |
Gross profit what you keep |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single pouch | $7.00 | $14.00 | $5.73 |
| Mixed 5-pack box | $35.00 | $60.00 | $19.55 |
| Lanyard upsell | $1.00 | $2.00 | $0.82 |
The two ready-made 5-pack boxes — "This Box Hits The Spot" and "Can't Decide? Try 5" — turn a $14 sale into a $60 scan at $12 a pouch, which reads as genuine value against the $14 single. And we don't undercut you online: $14 singles and $60 5-packs are our own DTC prices too.
Gross profit is calculated ex GST (RRP ÷ 1.1 − LUC). LUC $7.00 ex GST is $7.70 landed inc GST, claimed back as an input credit. You set your own shelf price — at $12 a single earns $3.91. Growth figure from MXTOLOGY management accounts (Xero, accrual), FY26 wholesale vs FY25.

What does it cost me and what do I make?
You buy at $7.00 a pouch ex GST and sell at the $14 national RRP — $5.73 gross profit a pouch, a 45% margin. The mixed 5-pack box is $35 in, $60 on the shelf, $19.55 in one scan. The Starter Range is 125 cocktails for $875 + GST — 25 each of five flavours — with 50 lanyards, the POS kit and counter boxes in the same box, and $30 freight. Every first order is confirmed directly with Aaron on 0410 497 602.
Will it just cannibalise my RTD and seltzer sales?
It sits in a different job. Beer and seltzer are the base of the basket; a $14 cocktail is the add-on the customer wasn't planning. At the Canberra Beer & Cider Festival we were the #1 selling vendor on the ground, surrounded by breweries — the cocktail sold alongside the beer, not instead of it.
Do you undercut stockists online?
No — and it's structured so we can't. Singles are $14 on our own site, exactly the RRP we recommend to you, and 5-packs are $60. The only lower price anywhere is our subscription club at $11, which customers earn with a recurring commitment, the way a wine club works. Your margin is protected by design — and it means the $14 price point is already proven with 1,200+ reviews behind it.
What happens to stock that doesn't sell quickly?
Nothing bad. Every cocktail is mixed fresh and best stored refrigerated, and CitrusFresh™ gives you a 12-month shelf life — so there's no date-code anxiety and no markdowns. Anything left after a peak just keeps selling at the same margin. It's a permanent range addition, not event-dated stock.
How is it different from the canned cocktails we already stock?
What's in it: real named spirits (Olmeca Altos, Maker's Mark, Disaronno, The Canberra Distillery, Pierre Ferrand), real citrus and real liqueurs, mixed fresh in Australia — built the way the very top end builds theirs. And what it does: a can is sealed and static, but the pouch activates — open, close, shake, sip — so the customer shakes the actual cocktail in its own vessel and drinks it straight away. The clear window also shows the real drink, which is why it merchandises itself in a fridge full of printed aluminium.
