The best bar at the Muster is your campsite.
Real cocktails β bar-spec recipes, top-shelf spirits, real citrus, mixed fresh in Australia and sealed in a pouch. Ten seconds of shaking and it's made, in your hand, at your chair. Then clip it to the lanyard and you've got both hands back for the fire, the esky lid and the chorus.

Four days at Amamoor and your hands are always full β camp chair, torch, esky lid, plate from the food vans, someone else's guitar. Every MXTOLOGY order comes with a lanyard, and the pouch clips straight onto it.

- Wear it, don't carry it. The cocktail hangs on your chest. Both hands stay free for the chair, the fire, the clap and the dancing.
- Reseal and walk. Cap it between sips and wander three sites down. It travels in a pocket, a chair holder or on the lanyard β and it's still there when you get back.
- Nothing to put down in the dark. No cup on the ground, no half-drink knocked into the fire pit, nothing to hunt for under the chairs at midnight.
- No cups, no washing up. The pouch is the vessel. Drink from it, or pour it over ice if you're feeling fancy β either way there's nothing to wash in the morning.
- Free lanyard with every order. The one Gordon Ramsay is wearing further down this page.
You do the ten-second shake. We did the ten years behind the bar.
These aren't premix. Every recipe is built to bar spec with real spirits and real citrus, mixed fresh in Australia, then sealed while it's still a cocktail. The last step β the bit a bartender does with a shaker β is yours, and it takes ten seconds.
Open
Crack the cap and let a breath of air in. The pouch expands like a shaker tin.
Close
Seal it back up tight. Now you're holding a shaker with the drink already in it.
Shake
Ten seconds. This is what builds the crema on the sours and lifts the citrus β exactly what a bartender's shaker does. A bottle can't. A can can't.
Sip
Straight from the pouch, or over ice in whatever's clean. Bar-quality, at your camp chair.

βIβll just decant some spirits into soft drink bottles.β
Fair enough β plenty of people do, and it works. But it's a plan for getting drunk, not a plan for a good drink. Here's the honest comparison.
Half a dozen bottles of mystery
- Buy the spirits, the mixers, the limes and the ice β then find something to carry it all in.
- Pour it at home and hope you got the ratio right. No jigger at camp, no second chance.
- Pack cups, a knife, a board, a bottle opener, and something to wash them in.
- It's warm bourbon and flat cola by 9pm, and nobody knows how strong anything is.
- Cups and half-full bottles all over the site in the morning, and it all has to come home again.
One item. Already a cocktail.
- Made at bar spec by people who do this for a living, with real spirits and real citrus.
- Ten seconds of shaking is the entire preparation. No measuring, no mixers, no shaker.
- The pouch is the vessel β nothing to pack, nothing to wash, nothing to break.
- Icy cold from the esky, and exactly as strong as the label says: 0.9β1.6 standard drinks.
- Reseals, clips to the lanyard, and packs out flat when you bump out.
Both plans get you a drink. Only one of them tastes like the bar you'd actually choose. And at $12β$14 a cocktail, it's cheaper than the round you'd buy at the stages.
Why it works in the campground.
Hands-free on the lanyard
Clip it on and wear your cocktail. Camp chair in one hand, torch in the other, drink still going. Free lanyard with every order.
A real cocktail, no bar
Bar-spec recipes, top-shelf spirits, real citrus, 8.7β16% ABV. Gordon Ramsay picked them for his winning team on Food Stars.
Nothing else to pack
No spirits, no mixers, no shaker, no cups, no limes, no chopping board. Twelve pouches and your bar is fully stocked.
Reseals against dust and mozzies
Open Β· Close Β· Shake Β· Sip. The lid closes between sips β no warm half-cans collecting bush flies on the camp table.
Esky-friendly and light
130ml a serve. A round of real cocktails weighs less than one wine bottle, sits flat beside the beer, and packs out to nothing.
Know your standard drinks
Every pouch is a labelled 0.9β1.6 standard drinks β far easier to pace across four big nights than free-pouring at camp.
βYou've given people their most valuable resource back. Their time. It's bloody brilliant.β
Can you take your own drinks to the Gympie Music Muster?
Yes β to your campsite. The Muster campground is BYO, which is why the esky is half the packing list, and it's where four days of drinks actually get drunk. The festival precinct itself is fully licensed, so BYO can't be carried in there β nobody's can β and what you drink at the stages comes from the Muster bars. The one packing rule worth knowing: Amamoor Creek State Forest is QPWS land with a no-glass policy, so cans, casks and pouches are the go. MXTOLOGY suits that neatly β each pouch is a complete, bar-quality cocktail (8.7β16% ABV, 0.9β1.6 standard drinks) in an unbreakable, resealable 130ml pouch that clips to a lanyard. Buy online before you travel, or stock up in Gympie on the way through β it's the last real shopping stop, about half an hour from the festival gate.
Four things worth sorting before the gate.
None of it is complicated β but it's a lot easier to deal with in your driveway than in the trees:
- BYO at your campsite. You're welcome to bring your own to your site, and that's where most of the drinking happens. Stock it properly and your camp becomes the one everybody ends up at.
- The precinct is licensed. BYO drinks aren't permitted inside the festival precinct β drinks at the stages come from the Muster bars, at Muster bar prices. Plan your good stuff around the camp chair and the fire.
- Stock up before the forest. Gympie is the last proper shopping stop, roughly 30β40 minutes from site. Once you're in the trees, you're in for the duration β so order it to your door and skip the detour altogether.
- Cans, casks and pouches only. Amamoor Creek is QPWS state forest under a no-glass policy, so leave the bottles at home. Pouches pack flatter than bottles anyway.
And the bit people forget: your hands. Four days of camp chairs, torches, esky lids and food-van plates. A pouch on a lanyard is the only drink you don't have to put down. Open Β· Close Β· Shake Β· Sip.
Gympie Muster drinks, answered.
What's in the Muster Pack?
Twelve pouches, weighted to the crowd-pleasers: 2Γ Pornstar Martini and 2Γ Espresso Martini, plus one each of Granny Smith Fireball, Fabulous Cosmopolitan, Tommy's Margarita, Amaretto Whisky Sour, Elderflower Gin Gimlet, Aussie Berry Bliss, Shiso Sour and PiΓ±a Colada. $159 with FREE 2-day Express Post included β last orders 4pm Friday 21 August.
How does the hands-free lanyard work?
Every order comes with a free MXTOLOGY lanyard, and the pouch clips straight onto it β so the cocktail hangs on your chest and both hands stay free. Reseal the cap between sips and you can wander the campground, set up a chair or warm your hands at the fire without putting your drink down anywhere.
Are these actually bar-quality, or are they premix?
Bar-quality. Every recipe is built to bar spec with real top-shelf spirits and real citrus, mixed fresh in Australia at 8.7β16% ABV, then sealed. The one step left is the shake β ten seconds in the pouch does exactly what a bartender's shaker does, including building the crema on the sours. Gordon Ramsay chose them for his winning team on Food Stars, and 1,200+ verified reviews average 4.9 stars.
How do you drink a cocktail pouch?
Open Β· Close Β· Shake Β· Sip: open the spout to let air in, close the lid, shake for ten seconds to liven the citrus and build the crema, then sip β straight from the pouch or poured over ice. No shaker, no mixers, no measuring, nothing to wash up.
Do I need to bring cups, ice or mixers?
No. The pouch is the vessel and the cocktail is already made β nothing to add and nothing to wash. Ice is optional: they're best icy-cold straight from the esky, and if you'd rather pour one over ice in a cup, it works just as well.
How many pouches should I bring for four days?
Most campers land around 2β3 a day, which is where the twelve-pack comes from β roughly three a night across the Muster for one person, or a nightly round for a group of three or four. Each pouch is 0.9β1.6 standard drinks and it's printed on the label, so it's easy to pace. Anything you don't get through keeps for months and comes home with you.
Is the Muster BYO?
At your campsite, yes. The festival precinct is fully licensed, so BYO drinks can't be taken in there and only alcohol bought at the Muster bars can be consumed inside. Plan your BYO around the camp chair and the fire, not the front of stage.
Can you take glass to the Gympie Music Muster?
No β Amamoor Creek State Forest is QPWS land under a no-glass policy, so it's cans, casks and pouches. MXTOLOGY pouches are completely glass-free and crush-proof, so they pack straight into the esky without a second thought.
When is the Gympie Music Muster 2026?
27β30 August 2026, at Amamoor Creek State Forest, about half an hour's drive from Gympie in Queensland. Order online by 4pm Friday 21 August and your cocktails land Monday or Tuesday β well before you head up.
Where do you buy alcohol for the Gympie Muster?
Before you travel β online, or in Gympie, the last real stock-up stop roughly 30β40 minutes from the festival site. MXTOLOGY ships Australia-wide from mxtology.com.au: the Muster Pack includes FREE 2-day Express Post, and if you build your own you can choose Express Post β 2 Day Delivery for just $15 at checkout.
Do the pouches need to stay cold?
They're best icy-cold from the esky, and the sealed pouch is happy alongside your cans on ice. Unopened pouches keep for months, so anything left after the Muster is a cocktail for the trip home β reseal the lid if you don't finish one.
Heading up to Amamoor? Bring the bar with you.
