Yes β to your campsite. The Muster campground is BYO, which is why the esky is half the packing list, and it's where four days of drinks actually get drunk. The festival precinct itself is fully licensed, so BYO can't be carried in there β nobody's can β and what you drink at the stages comes from the Muster bars. The one packing rule worth knowing: Amamoor Creek State Forest is QPWS land with a no-glass policy, so cans, casks and pouches are the go. Four things worth sorting before the gate.
None of it is complicated β but it's a lot easier to deal with in your driveway than in the trees:
- BYO at your campsite. You're welcome to bring your own to your site, and that's where most of the drinking happens. Stock it properly and your camp becomes the one everybody ends up at.
- The precinct is licensed. BYO drinks aren't permitted inside the festival precinct β drinks at the stages come from the Muster bars, at Muster bar prices. Plan your good stuff around the camp chair and the fire.
- Stock up before the forest. Gympie is the last proper shopping stop, roughly 30β40 minutes from site. Once you're in the trees, you're in for the duration β so order it to your door and skip the detour altogether.
- Cans, casks and pouches only. Amamoor Creek is QPWS state forest under a no-glass policy, so leave the bottles at home. Pouches pack flatter than bottles anyway.
