Mundi Mundi Bash 2026 — Glass-Free Cocktails | Broken Hill Retailers
15,000 Bash-goers are about to shop your fridges.
MXTOLOGY is a bar-quality cocktail sealed in a 130ml pouch — no glass, no bar, no prep. A real cocktail, sealed in a 130ml pouch.
If you haven't stocked MXTOLOGY before, this is the whole thing in one line: a bar-quality cocktail — real spirits, real citrus, shaken fresh in Australia — sealed into an unbreakable pouch that is also the drinking vessel. It's not a premix and it's not a seltzer. Your customer buys it cold, opens the spout and drinks a proper Margarita or Espresso Martini. Nothing to pour, nothing to prep, nothing to break.
- Resealable screw capOpens and re-closes — so it can be shaken, carried half-finished, and sealed against dust. A can can't do that, and that's the whole trick.
- Clear window down the middleYour customer sees the actual cocktail through the pouch before they buy. It merchandises itself on the shelf.
- Hang-hole at the topThis is where the lanyard clips — the bit that turns a $14 sale into $16. More on that below.
- 130ml = one full cocktail8.7–16% ABV, 0.9–1.6 standard drinks, printed on every pouch. A genuine single serve, not a share bottle.
- Unbreakable and glass-freeCrush-proof in a packed esky, and legal where glass is banned — which is the entire Mundi Mundi opportunity.
That hang-hole is your counter upsell.
Every pouch clips onto a branded MXTOLOGY lanyard, so the customer wears the cocktail around their neck and drinks completely hands-free. At a camping festival — camp chair in one hand, esky in the other — that's not a gimmick, it's the reason people come back for a second one. Lanyards land at $1 and sell for $2 at the till.
Thousands of Bash-goers provision in Broken Hill before heading to the Plains.
Every August, the Mundi Mundi Bash fills the plains 35km up the road from Broken Hill — close to 15,000 fans, three days of music, and a campground of over 6,000 vehicles rolling in from Monday 17 August. The festival sells food and soft drinks only. Everything else — every beer, every drink for five-plus days of camping — comes through town first. And here's what most fridges can't answer:
- Glass is banned — every bottle of spirits, wine or cocktail mixer stays home
- No alcohol is sold on site — whatever they don't buy in town, they go without
- There's no bar and no bartender — a "real cocktail" is normally impossible out there
- Beer and seltzers are covered by every fridge in town — identical stock, price war
MXTOLOGY is one of the very few drinks in the category that actually clears the Bash's no-glass rules: a bar-quality cocktail, pouched — not bottled — in an unbreakable, resealable 130ml pouch that's welcome where every glass bottle is turned away.
Where there's no bar, we're the best seller.
MXTOLOGY shines at exactly one kind of event: big crowds, no time or gear for real cocktails, and a premium for hands-free. That's a festival. The recent numbers:
Festival crowds don't browse. They grab what's cold, easy and allowed through the gate. At the Bash, that's a pouch — not a bottle.
Vendor results from MXTOLOGY event sales, 2026. Event details from the official Mundi Mundi Bash information pages; alcohol is BYO in cans, casks or plastic only, with no on-site alcohol sales.
$7 landed. $14 on the shelf.
One number to remember: your landed unit cost is $7.00 a pouch, plus freight to Broken Hill. Our national direct-to-consumer RRP is $14 — sell at RRP and you're on a 100% markup (50% gross margin) with zero prep, zero pouring and zero breakage.
- Sells itself in Bash week: it's the answer to the question every customer will ask — "what can I actually take out there?"
- No dead stock after the event: pouches keep 12–18 months refrigerated — anything left sells through spring and summer at the same margin
- No range risk: order a mixed case spread — we'll match the flavour mix to what sold fastest at our last two festivals
- Small footprint, big ring: 130ml pouches — a single fridge shelf holds roughly 100 units, about $1,400 at retail
- The lanyard upsell: hands-free lanyards land at $1 and sell for $2 at the counter — same 100% markup, and every one worn at the Bash advertises your fridge
- We send you the demand: our public Mundi Mundi Bash drinks guide is built to rank in Google and AI answers — and it tells festival-goers to check Broken Hill bottle-shop fridges on the way through
*Illustrative gross margin before operating costs: 100 units × ($14.00 − $7.00 landed unit cost). Landed unit cost is plus freight to Broken Hill (quoted per order) and excludes GST; you set your own shelf price.
Built for a no-glass, BYO campground.
Passes the gate check
The Bash allows alcohol in cans, casks or plastic only. A MXTOLOGY pouch is glass-free, unbreakable and crush-proof in a packed esky — a complete cocktail packaged for exactly those rules.
A real cocktail, no bar needed
Each pouch is a complete, bar-quality cocktail — real spirits, real citrus, 8.7–16% ABV — shaken fresh in Australia and sealed. No bartender, no shaker, no ice bucket of ingredients at camp.
Resealable against dust and flies
Open · Close · Shake · Sip. The lid closes between sips — no warm, dusty half-finished drinks on the Mundi Mundi Plains. A can can't do that.
Esky-friendly and light
130ml a serve means a week of cocktails fits beside the beer, and the drive out doesn't rattle. Lighter to carry, nothing to shatter, nothing to leave behind on a leave-no-trace site.
Premium ring, zero conflict
It doesn't cannibalise your beer or seltzer sales — it's the incremental "and grab cocktails for the girls" basket add. Premium price point, no price war with the shop next door.
“You've given people their most valuable resource back. Their time. It's bloody brilliant.”

Retailer questions, answered.
Can you take glass to the Mundi Mundi Bash?
No. The Mundi Mundi Bash has a strict no-glass rule — BYO alcohol is only permitted in cans, casks or plastic containers, and glass found in the concert area is confiscated. MXTOLOGY cocktail pouches are completely glass-free, so they're a Bash-friendly way to bring real cocktails.
Is alcohol sold at the Mundi Mundi Bash?
No — the Bash is strictly BYO and no alcohol is sold on site (food vendors sell food and non-alcoholic drinks only). Festival-goers buy all their drinks before arriving, and Broken Hill — about 35km from the site — is where almost everyone stocks up.
What will customers ask for, and why will they buy it?
The question every counter in town will hear during Bash week is "what can I actually take out there?" MXTOLOGY is the easy answer: complete, bar-quality cocktails (8.7–16% ABV, 130ml) in unbreakable, resealable pouches — no glass to be confiscated at the gate, no bar needed at camp, and a resealable lid against outback dust. It's the incremental basket add on top of their beer order, not a substitute for it.
What does stocking MXTOLOGY cost?
Your landed unit cost is $7.00 a pouch, plus freight to Broken Hill, against a $14 national RRP — a 100% markup (50% gross margin) at RRP. Hands-free lanyards are $1 landed and sell for $2 as a counter upsell. Orders placed by Tuesday 4 August ship in time to be in your fridges the week before roll-in, with point-of-sale materials included. Call 0410 497 602 or email aaron@mxtology.com.au to order.
What happens to stock that doesn't sell during Bash week?
Nothing bad — MXTOLOGY pouches keep 12–18 months refrigerated, so leftover stock simply sells through spring and summer at the same margin. It's a permanent range addition with a festival-sized launch week, not event-dated stock.
Stock the cocktail made for a no-glass Bash.
Call, text or email your store name and rough volume — we'll come back same day with trade confirmation, a festival flavour mix and a delivery date, plus the POS kit to launch it.
Call 0410 497 602 or email aaron@mxtology.com.au — orders by Tue 4 August ship in time for Bash week.
