*Alcohol-only estimate: 130 ml × ABV × 0.789 g/ml × 7 kcal per gram, rounded to the nearest 5 kcal. It is not a total calorie figure. Total calories also depend on sugar and fruit content, which varies by cocktail and is not published here. ABV and standard drinks are the figures printed on each pouch label and product page.

How is a standard drink calculated in Australia?
In Australia one standard drink is 10 grams of pure alcohol. To calculate it, multiply the volume in millilitres by the ABV, then by 0.789 (the density of alcohol in grams per millilitre), and divide by 10. For a 130 ml MXTOLOGY Espresso Martini at 10.7% ABV: 130 × 0.107 × 0.789 = 10.97 grams, which is 1.1 standard drinks.
Espresso Martini: 130 × 0.107 × 0.789 ÷ 10 = 1.1
Run that formula on any row above and you will land on the figure in the table. Where the result sits between two decimals, the table uses the figure printed on the pouch label, which is rounded to one decimal place, so the label is always the number to go by.
How many calories are in a MXTOLOGY cocktail?
MXTOLOGY does not publish total calorie or sugar figures. The estimates on this page count the alcohol only: 130 ml × ABV × 0.789 g/ml × 7 kcal per gram, rounded to the nearest 5 kcal. Total calories also depend on sugar and fruit content, which varies by cocktail and is not published here, so treat each figure as a floor, not a total.
Espresso Martini: 130 × 0.107 × 0.789 × 7 = 76.8, shown as ~75 kcal
Pure alcohol carries about 7 kcal per gram, which is why the alcohol-only estimate tracks ABV exactly: a stronger cocktail has more alcohol calories. The sugar, fruit, juice, coffee or coconut in each recipe adds calories on top of this estimate, and that amount differs from cocktail to cocktail. We have not published those figures, so this page does not guess them.

Are cocktail pouches stronger than a can of premix?
Not as a rule: strength depends on the volume and ABV of each drink, so compare the standard drinks printed on the label. A MXTOLOGY pouch is 130 ml at 8.7% to 16% ABV, which is 0.9 to 1.6 standard drinks, roughly one bar-poured cocktail. Premix cans vary in size and strength, so the label is the fair comparison.
What the pouch changes is not the strength but the format. Every MXTOLOGY cocktail is pouched, not bottled or canned: you open the spout to let air in, close the lid, shake the cocktail in its own vessel to liven the flavours (and build a crema on the sours and the Espresso Martini), then sip. The ABV and standard drinks are printed on the back of every pouch, so you always know what you are holding. See the full range of premixed cocktails.
18+ only. Drink responsibly. Each pouch's exact ABV and standard drinks appear on its label and product page. Plan a safe way home before your first pouch, and if you are pregnant, driving or planning to drive, the safest choice is not to drink.
